To successfully enable the integration, you'll need:
An active LIC MINDA account with herds configured
Your MINDA login details for the farm you are creating the integration for
An active Figured account with at least one Dairy Cattle Livestock Tracker set up (the integration with MINDA currently supports dairy cattle only)
The Pre-Integration Checklist for MINDA Integration completed
ℹ️ Sales and purchases are not part of the integration and still need to be entered manually or via Xero. Only natural movements (births, deaths, aging) and herd transfers sync from MINDA.
Step 1: Access Integration Settings
Log in to your Figured account.
Navigate to Settings > Livestock Integrations.
On the Livestock Integrations page, click + New Connection and select MINDA (currently tagged "Beta" in the dropdown, alongside AgriWebb).
Step 2: Choose Your Authorisation Method
There are two paths depending on whether you have direct access to MINDA or someone else holds the MINDA login.
Path A — You have direct access to MINDA
In the pop-up, choose "I have access to MINDA: Connect".
You'll land on an Authorise a Connection screen confirming which Figured farm you're connecting and what data will flow. Click Authorise Connection.
You'll be redirected to the LIC sign-in page. Enter your MINDA username and password.
On the next screen, Figured lists the herd(s) it's requesting access to. Tick to confirm, read and agree to the data-sharing terms, then click Proceed.
You'll be returned to Figured to complete setup.
Path B — Your client holds the MINDA login
In the pop-up, choose "I don't have access to MINDA: Email to authorise the connection".
Enter your client's email address and click Send. The integration will show as Pending Approval.
Your client will receive an email from Figured explaining the integration. They click through, sign in to LIC MINDA, and complete the herd-selection and consent screen.
Once your client has authorised, you'll receive an email notification. Return to Livestock Integrations in Figured to continue setup.
💡 Tip: Give your client a heads-up before the authorisation email arrives so it doesn't get dismissed as spam. The link is valid for one week. If it expires, you can resend it from the Livestock Integrations page.
⚠️ If you try to authorise a farm you don't have the right permission level for in MINDA, you'll see an error. If this happens, the herd owner or someone with delegated authority will need to complete the authorisation instead.
Step 3: Map Herds to Trackers
Once authorised, you'll be returned to the MINDA Integration Setup page.
On the Map Herds screen, you'll see the MINDA herd(s) the integration has access to, each with a "Select Tracker" dropdown.
Match each MINDA herd to the corresponding Figured Livestock Tracker. A herd can only be mapped to one tracker, though multiple herds can be mapped to the same tracker. We recommend having a separate tracker per herd.
Click Next to continue.
ℹ️ MINDA has only one stock class for male animals: Breeding Bulls. If a farm tracks other male classes in MINDA, they'll come through to Figured as Breeding Bulls and will need to be manually moved into the correct classes.
Step 4: Sync Historical Data
Choose a start date for importing historical MINDA data. We recommend starting at the start of a season, assuming movements haven't already been manually entered.
Click Sync & Complete. Note that only seasons that are not locked in Figured will be available to select.
Step 5: Review Stock Balances
Figured compares stock balances between Figured and MINDA as at your chosen sync date, broken down by stock class (e.g. R1 Heifers, R2 Heifers, MA Cows, Breeding Bulls), with any differences highlighted.
Please note: this comparison uses opening balances for the sync period, not current balances. For example, if your sync date is set to January 2025, you'll be comparing balances as at January 2025, not today.
If there's a discrepancy, you can:
Add any missing data (e.g. births or deaths recorded in MINDA but not yet added to Figured)
Leave it and reconcile later
Create a reconciling transaction in Figured at any time
Click Complete. You'll see a confirmation: "Your MINDA Integration has now been successfully connected and is good to go!"
After the Integration Is Connected
MINDA automatically syncs data into Figured once a day, currently starting at 10am NZ time. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time from the Tracker Settings page by clicking the Sync Historicals button under the Data Integrations section.
If transactions aren't importing into Figured, check that they've been approved in MINDA. Depending on your MINDA user permission level, adding or removing an animal from a herd may require approval from someone with the Herd Owner permission level.
