Adding Notes in the Planning Grid

If you want to add a note to your transactions in the planning grid, click on the cell where you want to add your note and type your comment before clicking ‘Save’. Cells with a note against them are indicated by the small yellow triangle in the top right corner of the appropriate cell.

Planning Grid notes within reports

Any notes that you add to the Planning Grid can be displayed in your reports by selecting the ‘Show planning notes’ option in your report settings. This option can also be saved as part of a saved report view and added to report packs.

Once this option is selected the preview of the report will mirror the display in the Planning Grid with a small yellow triangle in the top right corner of the appropriate cell. By hovering over the cell you can view any comments left.

When a report is saved or shared, the cell that contains a comment will instead be highlighted and each cell that contains a comment will also be numbered.

The comments are listed at the bottom of the report and against the associated number from the cell.

When including Planning Grid notes in report packs, the comments will display as the above example against the individual reports.

Importing Planning Grid notes

When using the import option within the Planning Grid you will have the option to include planning notes as part of the import. The option to import Planning notes is available when using the ‘Last Years Actuals’ option and the ‘Snapshot’ option and including planning notes in your import, will delete any existing notes within that season.
