Two-factor authentication is an added layer of security to help ensure that your financial data is always secure.
Step 1: Download an authenticator app
Before you get started, you'll need to download and setup an authentication app. If you don’t have one already our team recommends and of the following options.
Authy is our top pick, as it's a fully cloud-based solution, meaning if you get a new device you won't lose any of your existing 2FA setups.

Step 2: Set up your Figured 2FA
Once your authenticator has been downloaded to your device, login to your Figured account at my.figured.com, head to your profile, and select the Two-factor authentication tab.
Click Setup Two-Factor Authentication.
To set up the Two-Factor Authentication you will need to open your authenticator app and scan the QR code provided on the screen.
The QR codes will time out after two minutes. You will need to rescan the QR code if you have not completed this process in under two minutes.
If you don't have a camera phone, you can select Can’t scan it? to display a text code instead.
Once the app scans the QR code you will be returned a 6-digit code displayed in the authenticator app, a new code will be generated every 30 seconds. Enter this code into Figured (ensuring it is the same one still showing on your authenticator app) and hit Next.
You have now successfully set up two-factor authentication for your Figured account.
Step 3: Save your backup codes
When setting up 2FA, you are provided a set of backup access codes. These must be saved. In the event you lose access to your authenticator app, the backup codes can be used to restore access to your Figured account.
We offer three easy options to save your backup codes:
Print - print the codes out directly from your Figured page
Download- download the codes as a file for safekeeping
Copy - automatically copy the codes as a way to add to an existing secure document
Step 4: Add a backup email
The final step in setting up your 2FA is adding a back up email against your account. This backup email will give you an added option in the event you cannot your use authenticator app.
Once you enter your preferred back up email you will receive a confirmation email with a 6 digit code, as per below.
Once the code is confirmed you will be redirected to the main 2FA page, confirming you now have two-factor authentication enabled and a backup email loaded.
Now when you log into your Figured account you will be asked to enter the 6-digit code displayed in the authenticator app.
A new code is generated every 20 seconds so it is important to always open the authenticator app first and enter the displayed code.
