The filters on the right-hand side of your screen dictate what data you see on throughout Insights.

Before you select your filters, ensure you have cleared any existing ones you don't require. Click Clear Filters in the bottom right of the screen.

Reviewing the right data type, dates and duration

Figured Insights allows you to analyse data across Actuals + Forecast with Actuals to last month, or Scenario data. This is adjusted inside the Global Date Selector (GDS) along the top of your screen.

Number of Periods

You are able to adjust the number of periods of data displaying quickly from the GDS bar if you want to see more data for a previous period of the same duration, e.g: If the duration is one month, additional periods will show you data from earlier months and if the period is for a year it will show you data from a previous year. The period shifts the horizons back from your current ‘To date’.

In the example below, we wanted to see a 3 year line graph and were already viewing a year worth of data in the bar graph, so we can use the periods option to do so

Date Range

The GDS bar also allows for the standard way of inputting date ranges via a calendar type layout where you can select the from and to dates. There are pre-set commonly used ranges to choose from too such as ‘This Quarter’ etc.

Saving Filters

If you create a specific filter selection in the filters tab and wish to save it for future use, you can do so by clicking the three dots at the bottom right of the screen > Save > provide the filter name > Save. You can make the Saved Filter available for reporting use in Figured, and share it with other members of your organisation to use (but cannot edit it).

To apply an existing Saved Filter, select it from the dropdown.

Other Filters

Production and System Types: Filter by your farm's production and system types. This was configured when the individual farm file was set up. In the main app, it can be viewed/updated under Settings > Basic Settings.

Ownership Types:

Financial and Season Year End - limit your search to farms with a specific financial year-end or season year-end. The financial year-end is set in your accounting software, while the season year-end is set in the Figured main app.

Portfolios:

If you have portfolios switched on for your Figured organisation, you can filter by those groups here. Talk to your Figured contact on how you might get the most out of utilising these.

Data Health Scores:

Data health is an important part of deriving meaningful Insights from the tool. If you only want to view your 'High' and 'Average' scored farms, select these two boxes and leave 'Low' unchecked.

Navigate back to the Farms page to work on increasing these lower scores.

Your accounting software Product or Figured Plan:

You can filter by specific accounting software or Figured subscriptions if you wish.

Farm Size Filter:

You can use the farm size filter to refine your search. The filter comes with default placeholder values representing the lowest and highest sizes of farms currently displayed.

How it Works

The filter allows you to set a low and high value to create a range. If you enter only a base value 'x', the filter will display farms equal to ‘x’ size or larger. Conversely, if you enter only a ceiling value, it will show farms of that size or smaller. By defining both a base and a ceiling, you'll only see farms within the specified size range.

Filter by Farm

Advanced filters at the bottom right of the filters tab allow you to Filter by Farm or Highlight. Filtering by a particular farm will only pull data in from that farm. Highlighting a farm anonymises all other data apart from the farm/s you have highlighted, e.g. May's Meadows has been highlighted in the image below.

You can also collapse the filters panel in the top right once you are ready to review the data in full screen.
